Dr. Samson Liu is a dynamic leader in the field of dentistry, with a career spanning over two decades of innovation, growth, and patient-focused care. Originally from Hong Kong, Dr. Liu journey began when his family relocated to Canada, where he developed a strong work ethic and an unyielding determination to succeed. After earning his degree from the University of Toronto, he accepted a scholarship to Northwestern University in Chicago, where both his personal and professional journeys flourished. It was there that he met his wife, also a dentist, and began his career with Heartland Dental in 1999. Over the next 18 years, Dr. Liu played a pivotal role in Heartland’s remarkable growth from 13 practices to over 800, building a reputation as a visionary in dental practice development.
In 2018, Dr. Liu founded SOHDental, a purpose-driven dental partnership organization designed to empower clinicians and enhance patient care. Guided by a “People First” philosophy, Dr. Liu has cultivated a legacy-minded approach to dentistry, currently supporting over 48 practices across nine states. He is passionate about mentoring others, implementing cutting-edge technology, and redefining what it means to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
Chief Operating Officer
Amanda joined SOHDental in 2020 as a visionary and results-oriented executive with significant experience in strategic business plan development and execution for market penetration, business development, product/service launch, and customer relationship management.
Her experience prior to SOHDental includes over 10 years of leadership experience with Heartland Dental and Patterson companies. She successfully leveraged key client relationships into top-line revenue through strategic/tactical leadership, ongoing process improvements, problem-solving, staff training, and quality assurances/data analytics. She is an excellent influencer, communicator, and relationship builder with the ability to successfully articulate vision/mission with data, drive consensus, and achieve strong results. She is a great team leader and trainer with the ability to attract and retain high performers through a focus on individual results within a team environment. Amanda enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Chief Financial Officer
Raj joined the SOHDental executive team in 2026 and will lead our financial planning and accounting teams. He is a highly strategic, CPA-level finance leader with deep experience in private equity environments, cashflow optimization, and business transformation. Key milestones from his background include turning a complex healthcare division around from a -$4M EBITDA loss to positive profitability within two years; building highly accurate 13- and 14-week cashflow forecasting models and securing funding for dozens of corporate acquisitions; and driving process excellence by cutting month-end close timelines by 15 days and overhauling global treasury functions across dozens of international entities.
Raj’s blend of global corporate experience—including an 18-year tenure at Berlitz Corporation—and private equity agility makes him uniquely qualified to lead our financial operations. He holds an MBA in Finance and completed executive leadership training at Georgetown University.
